National Chemistry Week 2021 Illustrated Poem Contest Results
“Fast or Slow: Chemistry Makes It Go!”
This year the Pittsburgh Local Section received a number of entries for the annual NCW Illustrated Poem Contest. We thank all of the teachers and parents who encouraged their students to enter the competition. Entries were judged based upon artistic merit, poem message, originality and creativity, and neatness. Winners receive a cash prize and recognition locally. First place recipients are sent for judging at the national level.

Mira’s poem was also selected as the second place winner at the national competition level! Mira’s work can be found on the ACS website at http://www.acs.org/ncw, which receives over 25,000 unique visitors annually.
