DESCRIPTION:Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair – Call for Judges \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				 \nGreetings again\, Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair Judges\, \nThe 83rd Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair is coming home to the Carnegie Science Center this year.  The Fair will be held over two days this year to allow for all student participation.  Students and judges will gather at Carnegie Science Center to display and discuss projects on March 22nd (Intermediate Division) and 23rd (Junior and Senior Divisions). \nJUDGE REGISTRATION IS OPEN at www.STEMisphere.org/PRSEF. \nReturning judges – If you registered to judge last year and you have a username and password for www.STEMisphere.org/PRSEF\, log in\, review and confirm the information from last year and click on the red Submit Registration button at the bottom of the screen. DESCRIPTION:Second 2021 Mildred Perry “On the Road” Memorial Lecture Announced\nWe are pleased to announce that a second 2021 Mildred Perry “On the Road” Memorial Lecture has been announced\, and it again will be virtual.  It will be Wednesday\, September 15 at 7 pm and will feature Dr. Lan Deng from PPG Industries\, “Careers in Chemistry: An Industrial Perspective” or “An Industry Perspective on Chemistry Careers.” \n \nDr. Lan Deng is the Global Technical Director of Automotive OEM Coatings at PPG\, the largest coating and materials manufacturer in the world headquartered in Pittsburgh. Dr. Deng joined PPG in 2014\, and assumed her current role in 2020.  Her prior roles with PPG include Global Technical Platform Director for Powder Coatings\, Manager of Global Science and Technology Strategy\, Group Leader for Automotive Refinish Coatings.  Before joining PPG\, Dr. Deng worked for the Dow Chemical Company and Sherwin Williams. Deng earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of California\, Berkeley.
